Desserts

The famous Hui Lau Shan dessert shop in HK. You’ll have to try their mangoes here. Super yummy!

The other day I was feeling really down and ordered myself a caramel pudding. As I started digging into it towards the end, guess what I found right in the center of the pudding?

A smiley face staring back at me. Now God have it’s own way of cheering me up. =D

Small Lamb Sze Chuan Steamboat

During my last trip working in HK, I was able to find anything good to eat. This time around though as I get more familiar with HK and with the recommendation of ppl who have been here long enough, I’ll have to admit that there are great food but you’ll have to really look around.

So here’s one, I forgotten the name in Chinese but it’s near Grandville Rd. and there’s a big signage outside showing little lambs. I’m not a fan of lamb meat but this is really good!

Such a classy shop and costly too. The whole meal costs us approx. HKD135.

Look, they even served sugarcane water in champagne glasses.

Why I love my job

1. Unlike other jobs, I do not need to bring forward the work to the next day. Whatever happens that night must be solved there and then so I can leave my worries and not bring it over to the next day. I wouldn't say that it is stress free but at least everyday is like restarting your PC and getting a re-freshing boot from last night's clutter. 2. I get to meet up with so many people everyday. Just getting to know my staffs name is already a challenge what more knowing them personally. I try to put an effort in getting to know them a little bit more each day and it makes my work way easier in managing them. Also, there are those guest from hell that I have to deal with everyday. The people here are really a challenge because they can be really obnoxious and loud. There is no shame in them and they can really make a scene just to get a seat on the tables. 3. I get my 1 month unpaid vacation but it's a FREAKING whole month for me to do whatever I want without having a pile of work staggering on my table once I come back from vacation. 4. I get to order people around. Hahaha. Just joking! I order ppl around and my Big Boss order me around. 5. I get to travel around. Okay.. so I am still stuck in HK but once I've been to Sanya, CN. At least I stepped foot on my ancestor's land. 6. I don't have to worry what to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All I have to do is just go down to the Officer's Mess or Blue Lagoon restaurant and I eat for FREE! 7. and the list goes on. But sometimes I still think to myself why am I here? Something is still missing.
